Music by The Piano Brothers

Mr. Phillip Martin Young age 64 of Oxford, Georgia, passed away on May 1, 2017. He was born on August 6, 1952, in Atlanta, Georgia to Arthur and Mary Young. Mr. Young leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Patricia, their children and a host of other family and friends.

Brother in Christ, Friend, Dad, Granddad, Husband, we can go on and on. You can add any adjective which comes to mind to describe Phil. As we deal with the loss of our brother, I just wanted to remind us of the verses (Thessalonians 5:16-18 Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:28 We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. He appointed them to be saved in keeping with his purpose.

We discussed these verses on Sunday, we asked and answered the question what does it mean to LOVE the LORD. Some answers we came up with were to obey him, to communicate with him, to tell others of his Love, to be a living example of his transforming power, to be people of integrity, to serve him where ever he directs. Remind you of anyone?  From the study of Ruth we looked at some of the qualities that made her different. She was loyal, family oriented, made a decision to serve the Lord and followed through, thought of another person not herself. Remind you of anyone?

We also discussed "Always being Joyful", does not mean we are joyful for the circumstance but for knowing that we have Our Saviors promise that "IN ALL THINGS GOD WORKS FOR THE GOOD OF THOSE WHO LOVE HIM, and we KNOW OUR BROTHER IN CHRIST PHIL YOUNG LOVED THE LORD.

Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through him who give me strength.

Phil was a great man. Always had a smile on his face and he and Patsy were wonderful neighbors. Words cannot express the grief we have for him and his family and the fond memories of knowing them. Praying that God surrounds them with His love and grants them comfort. God's Blessings on them.
