Patricia Carol (Walker) Mealer

Patricia W Mealer, age 86, of Loganville, GA. passed away on Sunday March 31, 2024.

Patricia (Pat) Carol Walker was born February 25, 1938 to Carl Lee Walker and Jewel Price Walker in Calhoun, GA. She grew up in Adairsville, GA where she enjoyed going to church, gospel singings and playing the piano. She went to High School at Berry Academy in Rome, GA and loved the Berry School and campus. Friends and family were important to her. She loved her many cousins and she never met a stranger.

Pat had known local boy Benny Gene Mealer most all her life. They fell in love and were married on September 1, 1956. They moved to Atlanta, Ga. where she worked for the Lovable Company and then for DeKalb County Schools. Later she worked as medical office support for several private practices and then worked for and retired from DeKalb Medical Center. Pat and Benny were long time members of Peachtree Baptist Church where she worked in the nursery and sang in the choir. She was also a fixture in the youth department and chaperoned many youth retreats and mission trips.

Later in life she enjoyed her flowers, gardening and traveling with Benny, family and friends.

Pat is survived by her husband of 67 years Benny, their son Jeff Mealer and their daughter Kim Martin (Bill). She was also survived by four grandchildren, Zach, Rachel, Ashley and Alex and two great grandchildren Addie and Lynnlee.
