Mazie B. Parker65, peacefully passed on Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She was born in April 17, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee to Bertha and the late Charles Buggs. She received her B.A. in Health Services from The University of Alabama and her Masters of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. She worked as a devoted social worker with the Georgia Department of Human Services in Atlanta, Georgia until she retired after 31 years of service. After her retirementshe continued investing her time and energy into the lives of her family, friends, and community. She enjoyed traveling, socializing, spending quality time with her two daughters, grandkids, sister, and mother, and being a devoted wife to her high school sweetheart. Her legacy lives on through her beloved husband of 47 years Derrick Parkerher two daughters Katrina Mitchell (Quincey) and Katherine Parker; her three grandchildren Meredith Cofer, Miles Mitchell, Mason Mitchell, her loving mother Bertha Buggs and sister Michelle Buggs (S. Holland, Illinois). She leaves a host of relatives and friends. Mazie will forever be remembered as the best friend, the confidant, and the glue by the people in her life.

Please join us 11:00AM on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at The Honey Creek Woodlands, 2625 Highway 212 SW, Conyers, GA 30094, to celebrate the life of our beloved Mazie Parker. Please dress comfortably and warm as the service will be held outdoors.
