Clyde Anthony McGhee, age 63, of Conyers, Georgia passed away peacefully on April 29, 2023 surrounded by his beloved family. Anthony, as he was more commonly known, was born on February 27, 1960 in Knoxville, Tennessee. Anthony was an avid sports fan and absolutely loved the University of Tennessee Volunteers, “GO VOLS”, and the Atlanta Braves. He loved NASCAR and would plan trips solely based on racing events. He was a jokester that possessed quick wit, had a nickname for everyone, and he never met a stranger. Anthony enjoyed watching westerns on T.V. and his mother’s biscuits and gravy. He appreciated spending time with his friends and adored spending time with his family and little dog Cricket. Anthony loved his children. He coached his son’s baseball team, cheered his daughter on as she played softball, and was very supportive of his daughter’s love of horseback riding. As a family, they often traveled to Destin, Daytona, and Gatlinburg. He was loved by all that knew him and will be sorely missed. Anthony is predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his father. He is survived by his mother, 4 children, 3 grandchildren, 2 brothers, 2 nieces and a host of other loving family and friends. A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 5pm to 7pm at The Pavilion of Wheeler Park in Conyers, Georgia. Please come and celebrate a life lived well.
