Colleen Rose Krissel passed away on Saturday morning at approximately 3 am. As most of you know, she has been struggling with multiple health issues for the past ten years and, more recently, a condition known as failure to engage. She lacked the will to be present in today's world. It was challenging for us to watch this woman, who was such a fantastic human, the best mother, grandmother (memo), wife, sister, and aunt, a friend to all, and the most selfless person we know, turn into someone who didn't care about anything. This photo represents the last time we remember her being herself. It was just a year before our father passed away, and she was so happy to have her family home for Thanksgiving. This photo is how we will remember her, and we hope you will too.
Although she has been living in New Jersey with her daughter, Kimberly, she will be heading back to Georgia to her final resting place. Honey Creek was her choice, her wishes. It was the first time we had ever known her to put herself first, when she chose this peaceful place for her and father.
