Deborah Ann DeDuck, age 68, passed away on Sunday, May 19th. She was born on September 30th, 1950 to Mary and John DeDuck. Deborah was a light to all who knew her—a generous spirit who brought joy and laughter to her friends and family. She was a devoted servant of God and dedicated cantor with an angelic voice, beloved by her congregation. Her coworkers remember her as a friend and mentor, a good listener, and the “candy lady”. After spending decades serving the Blue Army of Our Lady of Fátima in Washington, New Jersey, she returned to Georgia to spend time with her family. Known as Debbie to her family, she identified with turtles for her slow deliberate pace of life. She was a life-long lover of music of all kinds, and oddly enough, a huge fan of "Weird Al" Yankovic. Among her many qualities, she will be remembered for her lighthearted sense of humor, her love of cats, and her appreciation for the simple things in life. She is survived by her sister, brother-in-law, two nieces, one nephew, four great nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly and remember her fondly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 24th at the Mother of God Ukrainian Catholic Church, 2880 Old Highway 138 NE, Conyers, GA 30013 at 11:30 a.m. directly followed by a gravesite service at the Honey Creek Woodlands at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, 2625 GA-212, Conyers, GA 30094. Those planning to attend the gravesite service should bring a comfortable change of clothing and walking shoes.
