Earl Arthur Dehlman Jr., 84, of Covington, Georgia, passed away on January 31, 2023 at Harbor Grove Hospice in Atlanta. Born on September 4, 1938, in Binghamton, New York, Earl was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and mechanical engineer.
Earl was a graduate of Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, and had a distinguished career as a mechanical engineer for 40 years. He was highly regarded by his colleagues and will be remembered for his dedication to his work.
Earl was an active member of Saint Augustine Catholic Church in Covington, where he sang in the choir and served on the Saint Vincent de Paul Society for 25 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, their loving children, 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren, as well as a host of other loving family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Jasper County Food Bank, or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
A Requiem Mass will be held at Saint Augustine Church, followed by a burial at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers, Georgia. Earl's legacy will live on through the memories of those who knew and loved him.
