Eugenie (Calderon) Minott

The world lost a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend on April 16, 2022. Eugenie Calderon Minott died from unexpected post operative complications and was sung into her rest surrounded by family who cherished her deeply. Eugenie was born in Castries, St. Lucia on February 28, 1946. Affectionately known as Flora or Genie, she was first and foremost a woman of God. Genie cared deeply about her family and neighbors, not out of obligation but because that is the person she was.  She was a mentor and shield for all those who were blessed to know her. 

Genie worked as a Midwife and L&D Nurse, as well as a Nurse Educator for 48 years. She realized her childhood dream of becoming a Nurse and strove to take her education to the highest levels. Her colleagues and students knew her as a kind soul, always willing to go the extra mile to help and mentor. Her children and grandchildren knew her as the safest place on earth, a mother who would go to the ends of the earth and back to see them safe and happy. Her husband knew her as his stalwart supporter, partner, and friend. 

 Eugenie is survived by her husband Rennart Sr., her son Rennart Jr., her daughter Jenita, and two granddaughters Amyah and Makayla.

Genie's goodness, caring, and wisdom will live on like a legacy of love that will always be remembered. "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die" . John 11:25-26
