Dr. Gwen-Doyln Cutter passed away peacefully on February 26, 2025 surrounded by her loving nephew. She was born in Screven County, Georgia to the late John and Jeannette Cutter. Gwen-Dolyn attended Savannah State University and became a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha (AKA), the oldest Greek-letter sorority established by African American college-educated women. Both Savannah State University and Alpha Kappa Alpha were organizations that she continued to support throughout her life. After graduating from Savannah State University, Gwen-Dolyn chose employment with the State of Georgia, where she remained until her retirement. She traveled extensively and was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Conyers, Georgia. Gwen-Dolyn was loved by all that knew her and will be greatly missed. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a host of loving family, sorority sisters and friends.
