Jack Eugene (Jr.) Jameson

JAMESON, Jack Eugene, Jr. April 16, 2022. 

Jack Eugene Jameson, Jr., of Las Vegas, NV, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022, after a difficult battle with cancer.  He was born on May 5, 1954, in Atlanta, GA, and established himself at St. Pius X High School as a star football player, life of the party, and occasional practical joker. He then went on to a long career as an electrician and a member of IBEW 613 in Atlanta. He served in many varied locations throughout the U.S. and overseas in distant places such as Iraq and Afghanistan. Jack made friends everywhere he went. He was known for his sense of humor and his willingness to help others. Jack had many plans and dreams for his life after his retirement in 2021, such as spending some time in semi-retirement in Fiji. Sadly, cancer took his life, far too soon. During the past years, Jack reunited with Susan Wood, a longtime friend from St. Pius X. We are very thankful for Susan, as she was his primary comfort and support, especially during his final months. We are also grateful for the many friends who cared, prayed, and helped Jack during these last difficult months.

Jack was predeceased by his father, Jack Eugene Jameson, Sr. and his mother, Gloria Fudge Jameson. He is survived by his siblings:  Cathy Jameson Caldwell, Cynthia Jameson Franklin, Stephen Keith Jameson, and Elaine Jameson Bishoff, their spouses, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and their families.

At his request, Jack was cremated and will later be buried with his parents at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers, GA. Anyone wishing to contribute gifts is encouraged to do so in his memory to St. Pius X High School, 2674 Johnson Road NE, Atlanta, GA 30345.
