Mr. Jeffrey Franklin Sewell
Mr. Jeff Sewell, age 60, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, March 09, 2025, with family by his side. Born on August 15, 1964, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he was the son of Joseph Franklin Sewell and Jerry (Jeri) Dean Sewell. Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Jeri Sewell, and his beloved niece, Rachel Shaw.
Jeff attended Clayton State College, which helped him find his official calling. And he was called often. There wasn’t anything that he could not construct, create, repair, advise, rebuild, and break down. His career in Machine Maintenance Engineering encompassed mastering every skilled trade and IT. He was one of Amazon’s original Machinists when Jeff Bezos personally signed their agreements. He became a student of quantum entanglement and universal forces. He was very close to God.
Jeff bestowed miraculous gifts on his life canvas for many friends and foe. He didn’t turn away a person in need, nor did he ask for anything in return for his words or deeds. It did not matter if you were homeless or famous; in his eyes, you were his fellow person on a life journey. Jeff was truly a man with an enlarged heart that held compassion for the present, for the love of life, and, above all, his first love: a devout, unwavering love for his family.
Jeff is survived by his sons, Joseph Lee Sewell and Ashton Mendez Sewell; daughters, Tiffany and Michael Rozier, and Keli and Jared Flowers; stepchildren, Jane B. Montoya and Dylan Boone, and John P. Montoya. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Additionally, he is survived by his father, Joseph F. Sewell; his sisters, Milli Carlisle and Bruce Kosche; Rhonda and Raymond Shaw; Tracy and David Everitt; and their families.
Jeff will be remembered for his dedication and advice, his quick wit, his one-liners that made everyone laugh, and the warmth you felt in his presence
