Mr. John Gregory Crowder, age 75, of Conyers, Georgia, found his "Shallow Place" to cross at his home on January 7, 2025, surrounded by his family. He served in The United States Marine Corp., as a radio dispatcher, was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from the Georgia Department of Corrections as a correctional officer.
He was a man of few words, but you knew when he had something to say it as important and would usually always end up making you laugh. You never had to wonder what he was truly thinking. To know Greg was to love him. He always made sure to tell you he loved you, to be careful, and to call when you made it home.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Nancy. Which is the greatest love story. He said he "jumped the ditch", and he never looked back, even though he would joke and say he wishes he had never jumped it. He showed his love for her everyday and always was making sure he told her.
He is also survived by he son and daughter-in-law, Damon and Ciji, and daughter and son-in-law Denise and Rob, his grandchildren, Ally, Ashley, Collin, Kendall and Keenan.
The family would like to thank Circle of Hope Hospice, for their amazing care, and also a special thank you to Ken for the prayer and helping Greg find his "Shallow Place to Cross"
