John Georges II Obituary

John Timothy Georges II, known by friends and family as Timmy, Tim, Daddy, or Babe was born on June 5, 1975 and passed away on March 29, 2019 at age 43 of an acute cardiac dysrhythmia.Tim was with his adoring wife, Becky during his last moments and she did everything she could to save him. He knew she was there and that is a comfort to her.

Tim is survived by his loving wife of 4 years, Becky, his parents, Tim and Jan Georges, his children, Audrey and Harper, his step children, Jake and Bailey, his sister and brother-in-law, Erin and Shawn Grismore and his nephews Jonah, Miles, and Fisher.

Tim worked at Georgia Tech for a non-profit providing disability services. Within that job, Tim was especially passionate about providing perfect captioning for people with visual impairments and  enjoyed reading with the Braille department and his work with prisoners. Before joining the team, Tim spent over a decade working as a carpenter, which was his true passion in life. Tim received his Master of Library and Information Science degree from Valdosta State University in 2013 and his BA in English from the University of Georgia in 1997. Tim is an Eagle Scout.

Tim enjoyed punk music, comic books, hiking, gardening, local art, NPR, and going to festivals with his family. He had a thirst for knowledge and devoured book after book about whatever topic he was currently interested in. He would tell Becky what he was learning about each night at dinner. Tim was always planning his next tattoo.  Tim was an adventurer and loved to travel with his family.
Tim was the perfect husband and life partner to Becky, and an amazing father to all four of his children. Tim and Becky never spent a moment apart that they didn't have to and were soul mates in every sense of the word.  His loss is devastating to his family.

The Burial Services for Tim are private and by invitation only. Tim will be laid to rest on Saturday, April 6th at 2pm at Honey Creek Woodlands, a natural burial ground at the Monastery of the Holy Spirit in Conyers. It is requested that guests arrive at 1:20pm due to the nature of the burial grounds. Tim disliked cut flowers as they reminded him of death. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations in his name are requested to be made to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
