John Ronald Marchant

Mr. John Ronald Marchant, age 75, of Covington, Georgia, passed away on September 22, 2025, surrounded by his beloved family. Ronnie as he was more commonly known as, was born on September 19, 1950, in Macon, Georgia, to the late John and Margaret Marchant. He would spend countless hours talking to his family on the phone, while hauling freight all over the country, as a long-haul truck driver. Ronnie was a kind, but stubborn man and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He enjoyed fishing, listening to hard rock music, classic cars, watching wrestling and was an avid Braves fan. Ronnie loved to spend time with his family and one of his favorite past times, was coaching little league and cooking his famous chicken pot pie and fried cornbread for his family to enjoy. He is preceded by death by his parents, and his loving wife. He leaves behind to cherish his memory; his five children, four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, as well as a host of other loving family and friends.
