Julius Michael “Mike” Kelly of Grayson, Georgia passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, July 13, 2019 after a long illness.  He was 73 years old.  He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Camuso Kelly; his 2 children, Michael Kelly and Kathleen Kelly O’Brien; five grandchildren, Ava Kelly, Owen Kelly, Jack O’Brien, Liam O’Brien, and Evan O’Brien; a sister, Rhonda Kelly Sprayberry; and 9 nieces and nephews.

Mike was born on September 16, 1945, in Westminister, South Carolina to Julius Franklin and Margie Moore Kelly.  He graduated from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida with a degree in Fine Arts.  After graduation, he worked for Rich’s Department Store of Atlanta as an interior designer and assistant furniture buyer.  After Rich’s, he worked as Vice President of LaFrance Fabrics.  Later, he served as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Peachtree Fabrics.  Mike will be remembered for his love of family, his fondness of rescue dogs, and his keen eye for design and art.

A Memorial Mass will be held to honor and celebrate the life of Mike Kelly on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at 11:00 am at Saint John Newman Catholic Church at 801 Tom Smith Rd., Lilburn, GA 30047.   A Rosary will be offered in the sanctuary at 10:00am.  The family will receive friends at the church directly following the Rosary until the start of Mass.  All friends are invited to a luncheon reception at Reynold’s Hall adjacent to the church directly following Mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to PAWS Atlanta (www.pawsatlanta.org).
