She was born on April 9, 1971, in St. John, Antigua, and carried the spirit, pride, and warmth of her island roots throughout her life.

Karen was a strong‑willed, grounded, and fiercely independent woman whose world revolved around her family. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her four sons — her cherished “Four Kings” — and the grandchildren who lit up her life. She was an extraordinary mother, always present, always celebrating them, and making every day feel as special as the day they were born.

Raised in New York, Karen was a true city girl with an impeccable sense of style. She had a natural gift for fashion, creating stunning pieces through her exceptional sewing skills and unique eye for design. Her creativity flowed effortlessly, and she expressed herself boldly through every stitch, every outfit, every masterpiece she crafted.

Vibrant, positive, and full of life, Karen was the heartbeat of every room she entered. She was an adept dancer, the life of the party, and someone who radiated joy wherever she went.
