Karolyn D. Williamson, age 85, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away on June 10, 2026, surrounded by her beloved children. She was born on June 9, 1941, in Newnan, Georgia, to the late H.M. and Marjorie Denney.
Karolyn loved her children deeply and was the absolute best mother any child could hope for. She had a gift for making every moment special, and her presence brought comfort, joy, and unwavering support. She never missed a single sporting event — whether it was baseball, softball, tennis and football — and she passed her own love of tennis and golf on to her children.
An avid traveler, Karolyn cherished time spent with her family at the beach, Disney, and Washington, D.C. She adored birds and found companionship in her beloved cats, Peyton and Eli. A loyal fan of the Atlanta Braves, she enjoyed cheering on her team each season.
Karolyn was a stellar cook and showcased her creativity through baking specialty cakes for birthdays and holidays. She loved to read, and she found joy in word games and puzzles. Her bright spirit, kindness, and gentle humor made her a light to all who knew her, and her absence will be felt deeply.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, her grandson, and a host of loving family members and friends.
