Kelly Jane Thompson

Kelly Jane Thompson, born May 19, 1969, devoted wife and mother, arrived at her eternal heavenly destination on April 26, 2024, where she surely is celebrating with all the family who preceded her.

Kelly was a woman filled with love for her family and for Jesus. She was described as the “glue” of her family and will be missed to an extent that is unmeasurable.  She always showed kindness and anticipated needs of family, friends and strangers.  She was tireless in her generosity and set the bar high with her work ethic.  In her free time she loved to crochet, read and garden. 

Kelly graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in International Studies from Kennesaw State University in 1991.  Kelly was a Homeschool mom for her four children and enjoyed the challenges and the field trips.  She was a dedicated educator and she loved her classroom students during her tenure at Cumberland Christian Academy and especially loved teaching Theology.

Her greatest influence and what she was best at was her love for her family.  Kelly was preceded in death by her father, Ken Seifert.  She is survived by her best friend and love of her life, her wonderful husband of 31 years, Kevin, her children Violet, Carter, Anabel and Gideon; her mother Judy Seifert, and her brother Kevin Seifert. 

A private family graveside service will be held at Honey Creek Woodlands in Conyers, Georgia.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
