Kittye Dominguez Obituary

***In Loving Memory of Kittye Flanagin Dominguez, a beautiful soul, devoted matriarch, and lifelong servant***

Kittye Flanagin Dominguez, deeply cherished, passed away at her home on January 12, 2025, marking the end of a life filled with grace.  Born on June 5, 1938, to Harris Dale and Faye Flanagin, Kittye's journey began in Louisiana and ended in Georgia as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and church member.

Surviving Kittye is her husband of 66 years, Julius J. Dominguez, Jr.  Together, they built a family that revolved around love, support, and laughter.  As a devoted wife and mother, Kittye dedicated herself to nurturing her surviving children: Susan Grigsby, Lauren Delgado, Natalie Dominguez, and Pamela Traugott (Allen) with her gentleness and strength.

The scope of Kittye's nurturing spirit extended to her beloved surviving grandchildren: Megan Reed (Ryan), Erin Grigsby, Brendon Maddox (Meaghan), Veronica Delgado, Rafi Delgado, Nicolas Delgado, Bridgette Dominguez, Mollie Traugott, Caroline Williamson (Dave), and Wes Traugott (Stephanie). Her love further expanded to envelop her surviving great-grandchildren: Connor, Caleb, Field, Nora, Kenny, Kameron, Paisley, Charlotte, Lucy, Henry, Leighton, Tyler, Reese, a ‘Baby Girl’ Traugott.   She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Julie Dominguez Grupp (Bill), her brother-in-law Michael Dominguez, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Kittye’s favorite activities were to host family birthday parties and holiday gatherings, going on her annual family beach vacation, and volunteering and attending Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Lilburn, Georgia.

Kittye reflected commitment and selflessness to her Catholic faith, marriage, and family.  She created a special relationship with everyone she met and particularly her 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.  Her southern wit and warmth were ever-present, turning ordinary days into memorable occasions filled with laughter.  She had a servant’s heart and will be missed immensely.
