Maria Ruth Becerra Acevedo

It is with great sadness that the family of Maria Ruth Becerra Acevedo announce her passing on December 26, 2022 at the age of 66. 

Maria Ruth was born on January 10, 1956. She was best known for her love of the Lord, her Catholic Faith, her fabulous cooking, and her strong-willed character. She is well known in multiple parishes throughout the archdiocese of Atlanta, including but not limited to; St Joseph Catholic Church in marietta, Saint Thomas the apostle Catholic Church in Smyrna, Holy Family Catholic Church in Marietta, and Transfiguration Catholic Church in Marietta. She will be eternally remembered by her spouse Julio Cesar, her daughter Maria Juliana, her three brothers and sister, her two granddaughters, her extended family, community members and friends. 

The celebration of life Mass of Maria Ruth Becerra Acevedo will be held on January 3rd, 2023, at 10AM at Saint Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marietta. With Msgr John Walsh presiding. 87 Lacy ST NW. Marietta, GA 30060-1111. 

To those interested in laying her to rest with her direct family after the Mass Celebration. The burial service will be at 1PM at Honey Creek Woodlands 2625 Highway 212 SW Conyers, GA 30094-4044.
