Mary (Cronan) Kirk, age 88, of Conyers, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 5, 2026. She was born on February 4, 1937, in Covington, Georgia to the late James and Dura Cronan. “Momma Mary”, and “Momma Kirk”, as she was more commonly known, was a kind and nurturing woman who loved people and never met a stranger. She was outspoken and straightforward, so you always knew where you stood, for she never minced words. She was an outstanding cook, and one could often find her in the kitchen, serving up love with her famous pancakes. She enjoyed watching westerns and the afternoon ABC Stories, with General Hospital being one of her absolute favorites. In her younger years, you could find her soaking up the warm sun in St. Augustine, Florida with her late husband James and their beloved grandchildren. Mary was quite fond of music and would go to gospel singings in Porterdale and Joe Ray’s Music Hall in Loganville to listen to the local bands. She was a bright light in this world and was loved by all that knew her and will be sorely missed.
