Nora Anna (Posey) Pelowski

Nora Anna Posey Pelowski, age 89, of Conyers, died at Rockdale Healthcare Center on August 3, 2022. Mrs. Pelowski was born February 12, 1933, in McCaysville, Georgia. She attended Copperhill High School and Hiawassee College in Madisonville, TN.  Mrs. Pelowski retired from AT&T after 30 years of faithful service. She was a woman who enjoyed adventure, travel, her work, and her grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Pearl Posey, husband, John Pelowski, Jr., her son Troy L. Pierce, Sr., and her sister-in-law Carol Posey.  She was formerly married to and preceded in death by her first husband Bobby Joe Pierce, Sr.

She is survived by her sons, Billy & (Shirley) Pierce, Bobby Pierce, Jr, daughter-in-law, Taye Pierce (“Rayford”), her loving brothers and sister, Ralph Posey (Sally), Tom Posey, and Nellie Stanley.  She is also survived by her grandchildren, Clay Pierce (Amanda), Kristi Oliveri (Nick), Hunter Pierce, Layne Pierce (Jenni), Tori Milenthal (Josh) and Travis Pierce (Meriah), by her nieces, nephews as well as several great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and a host of friends who knew and loved her.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Conyers, Ga.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that you please make a donation to Crossroads United Methodist Church. The family also wishes to acknowledge and thank those who cared closely for her while she resided at Rockdale Healthcare Center.
