Patricia Ann (Owens) Dennis

Patricia Ann Dennis, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home on September 20, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born June 22, 1946, in Greenville, Alabama, Patricia was the beloved only child of the late Huel and Edna Ruth Owens.

Patricia devoted many years to serving her community as a bus driver for the Jasper County Board of Education, where she became affectionately known to all as “Miss Pat.” She also worked with Circle K Corporation, where her hard work and leadership led her to a management position overseeing several locations.

Patricia was a woman of many joys. She loved to read and was rarely seen without a book in her hand. She enjoyed movies, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. A faithful member of Trinity Praise Center in Mansfield, she was part of the Oasis Group and was fondly known as the “candy lady,” always carrying a basket of sweets to share at church.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Darrell, Derrick (Tina), and Ricky (Michelle); grandchildren Ashley, Lacey, Brittany, Skylar, Carly, Brooke, Cason, and Collins; as well as seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandson, Cameron Dennis.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Greenville, Alabama.

Patricia will be remembered for her kindness, her warmth, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
