Rhonda Underwood Obituary

Rhonda Faye Underwood, age 59 of Doerun, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2023. She was born on February 8, 1964, in Bremerton, Washington, to the late Harold Estep and Patricia (Shields) Estep. Rhonda was a kind and gentle soul that never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand or give kind words of encouragement to those in need. She attended and graduated from Johnson High School, in Gainesville, Georgia in 1982 and went on to pursue a career in Accounting and Legal Aid. Rhonda met and married her first husband, the late Ray Hancock. Rhonda and Ray shared many years of happiness, prior to his untimely passing. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed knitting, listening to music, capturing beautiful moments through photography, traveling to various parts of the country, and was captivated by tracing her family heritage through genealogy. Rhonda also loved her heavenly father and was a member of The Church of Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in Moultrie, Georgia.

“I can’t give hugs and kisses to those who have passed away, but I can send love their way every day”.

Rhonda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 17 years, Daniel Underwood, of Doerun, Georgia.
