Music by The Piano Brothers

Sharon Renee Calloway (Wiley) was born May 4, 1964 in Chicago, IL.  She was raised by her mother Willie Bell Wiley, along with her 6 sisters and 4 brothers. As a child Sharon always asked questions, not stopping until she was given answers. According to one of her sister’s her most asked question as a child was, “can I have some?”, and guess what, she got it.  Her persistence and determination did not stop there she loved reading books and doing research.

In 1982 Sharon graduated from Phillips High School. She was very smart, but a corporate career just was not for her.  Using her skills to master things quickly and the love of working with her hands, she achieved her goal of completing her plumbing apprenticeship and became a licensed plumber. During her career she met and later married David Fairchild, the father of her son David Devonte Fairchild.

Throughout the years, Sharon’s life was filled with ups and downs including having to part from her husband. She received an invitation from her sister to move to Georgia and build a new life for her and her son. Sharon accepted. Although she received a fresh start with great new beginnings, she still faced trails.  She was diagnosed with a condition that would, make it almost impossible for her to walk.  Not able to walk on her own, she had to use a walker, then later a wheelchair.

Facing the reality of her current situation and meditating on the knowledge she had from the bible, she knew she needed a relationship with Jehovah because this world and this system of things were of refuse.  It was then she made a promise to Jehovah that once she could walk again, she would make Jehovah God her priority, and she did just that.

After healing from 2 surgeries and physical therapy she began her journey to dedicate her life to Jehovah.  Fighting through the pain and effects of her health issues, she continued to progress in the truth.  Putting on a new personality and making life changes to please God, she married the new love of her life, Fred Calloway. Sharon continued to progress, dedicating her life to Jehovah and symbolizing it through baptism.

Everyone around her could see how Sharon’s life had changed for the better.  It was clear Jehovah was blessing her efforts.   Her life was now filled with family, friends, love, joy and laughter, Sharon was genuinely happy.

To her family and friends, Sharon will always be known for her strong will, amplifying voice, giving heart, contagious laugh, funny dancing, and loving personality.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Mary Collins, father of her son David Fairchild and brother-in-law Jerome Mims.  She will be remembered by her husband Fred Calloway, son David Fairchild (Alexus Fairchild, Paris Shepherd), her mother Willie Bell Wiley, brothers and sisters, George Wilder, Patricia Wiley, Doris Wiley, Toni Brown (Kenneth Brown), Sandra Mims, Gregory Wiley, Ricky Wiley, Tracy Thomas (Orlando Thomas), Johnny Wiley (Theresa Wiley), Pamela Wiley and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Sharon Renee Calloway entered the race for everlasting life, overcame obstacles, cross the finish line and is now awaiting her prize.
